As of last week (first week of Jan) I began to experience some very restless legs at bedtime and a few headaches. Symptoms that I had experienced back in August before my current diagnosis. I immediately contacted my team of doctors who have been on top of my issues. I am back on 12mg of Dexamethasone a day, which have reduced those symptoms I was having last week but they definitely give me insomnia, mood swings, and generally make me feel like a zombie.
As of right now, there is some swelling in the brain, in the area that was treated. A recent MRI has shown the area is up to 1.7cm. It isn't clear at this point if the swelling is caused from Tumor re-growth or Tumor death (along with radiation effects). Obviously the second scenario is what we are praying for. That the tumor is dieing off and the swelling in the brain will go down. But in the mean time, we are waiting and watching my symptoms very closely.
I would also like to give a shout out to Gloria Ortega-Williams, my only fan who posted a question on my fb page.
Gloria asked if the CyberKnife Radiation did its job. Well with any treatment it can take months to see long term results. So at this point we know the tumor response was well, now wr have to continue to wait and pray that my current symptoms are from it working.
